I mean I’m willing to believe 70 percent of women have been raped at some point in their life but I’m just as willing to believe 70 percent of women have had sex with guys they agreed to have sex with and then afterwards decided they didn’t like and so retroactively it became rape, I’m also willing to believe that 70 percent of women are complete liars. Basically, any survey of women is just asking a woman to tell the truth but at scale. It’s wholly unreliable.

do you think women can generally be trusted as reliable sources for their own experiences? kids do get molested and that’s evil and should be punished but that’s a separate issue from this, we’re talking about surveys not fact finding investigative legal procedures. it’s a pity we can’t really ever know the scale of the problem because there’s no way to assess it with anything reliable, we just have to punish cases that we are made aware of it happening.
