The condor falcata is actually a very decent sword. On soft targets like bottles, It's like having a cheat code. That belly is a monster cutter.

It sits in an odd space between sword and machete. It's 3mm thick, which is on the thin side, but it's not floppy like a grass machete. And it's stupidly light at like 500ish grams.

Originals were light too, around the 5-600 gram mark. Though they measure thicker at 6mm or so and then taper down to 3. However, The condor is a modern through hardened monosteel, so that doesn't make it weaker. If they did add distal taper, it would likely be a much more expensive product. And the condor isn't being billed as a replica, but Condor's interpretation. In that respect, it's a major success in execution.

In the grand scheme of things, this is a machete styled as a sword, but isn't cheaply made like disposable Rwandan nigger cleavers. which makes it much more useful. I will unironically take this camping to use it as a machete.

The leather sheath is also very typical condor, which is to say, amongst the best in the business as far as production leather sheaths go. Riveted where it's important. The belt loop is on a swivel so the falcata moves with you when you sit or bend.

My only real complaint is that they made the grip too big. It fits fine in the hand in every other respect. If they shortened it by 2 or 3 inches it would be perfect, and that hook would be one if the most secure I can imagine. As UT us, my hand will always slide down during serious use, which effects cutting and chopping.

That is pretty much my main complaint after using it for a couple weeks.
