Grabbed the Condor Falcata because of a steep valentines day sale. Specs look good. Originals were around 5-700 grams from what I understand. This is sorta thin, at 3mm, originals were around 5 or 6 and then tapered to 3mm. But this isn't billed as a replica, but rather their take on one. So a flat 3 mill to keep cost and weight down is fine.
It's pretty obvious what historical find this is loosely based on, which is an Iberian sword in the met. (Or at least, stereotyped from the general shape)

I'm a Slut for condor products and it's getting to be a problem. I think this is the 12th blade of theirs I own now.
Although, it's funny. The new K night bowie. Is both thicker and heavier despite being significantly smaller.
That's not necessarily a bad thing for either. The k night is a 16 inch bowie, which is a different class of blade entirely. The Falcata exists to slice and cleave. Being an early proto-falchion. Being fast and thin is what works best for it.
