at smaller engineering companies getting sent to a job fair is bad news. they don't want to be there and will be doing the bare minimum in my experience, but if you can provide some non-retarded conversation regarding the work matter they may help you get a leg up

at a joint like lockheed they probably have people whose entire job is to go to job fairs. this is a mixed bag, because the attempt to prove you're not retarded won't be so effective. they can hear you and will pass names to look out for up the chain but wearing decent professional wear and being able to do the gay HR song and dance will get you further because they're gonna be processing tons of employees going in and out at any given time
