reread Watchmen for the first time since uni (approximately 500 years ago) was pleasantly surprised to find I still enjoyed it. Theres some cringey nihilism and boomerlib mythos but it doesn’t get too in the way of a well told story with enjoyable characters. I mostly come away from it more impressed with the artist and colorist than the writer, its a one of a kind style with great visual storytelling, and it’s a rare comic that takes full advantage of the medium. I still like Rorschach but I come away from this reading as Adrian’s top guy. How can you not love the blue eyed white Pharaoh who, after watching 6 million hours of TV, decides he HAS to kill everyone in New York City. A real hero!
So freaking true. Rightoids identify so heavily with rosarch because they can't ever picture themselves as a victor
The alternative is the guy whose entire master plan is one newspaper editor grabbing the wrong folder from the crank file on a slow news day from being completely undone.
Just like that time Alex jones talked about pedophiles in the us government and they lost power forever and now there arent any in power anymore
